About Us

HappyGlasses.org is a division of Scotts Opticians Limited. The business was founded in 1991 in Ross-on-Wye and has grown steadily ever since becoming incorporated in 2006. It was decided a web presence was required but one with a different ethos to other sites in the same field. Using our wide knowledge of the optical market built up over the last 20 years we felt a good product range was essential at a great price.

However, having read about the efforts of charities like Vision Aid Overseas and learning about the good work they do all over the world we wanted to build in a facility to provide donations to their cause and from every pair we sold. In order to do this we had to source our products at a competitive price and keep costs to a minimum which is what we have managed to do. The name HappyGlasses summed up the whole spirit of the project and in the time we have been open to business we have sold glasses and sunglasses all over the world gaining very positive feedback from our customers.

We believe giving back something to people less fortunate is a worthwhile cause and if you end up with a pair of glasses or sunglasses bought at a great price then everyone is happy. We are not trying to change the world we just hope that together we can make it just a little bit better.
